Utopia Plastic Surgery and Medical Spa welcomes Melanie Frye, MS, NP-C as our newest Nurse Practitioner and aesthetic injector to the office of Franklin Rose, MD. Melanie holds her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center School of Nursing. While working as a Registered Nurse, she completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2004, earning a Master of Science degree from Texas Woman’s University in Houston, Texas. She became Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in March of 2005.
In 2007, Melanie underwent training from the Esthetic Skin Institute for BOTOX® injectables and dermal fillers (such as Restylane®, Perlane®, Juvederm®, Belotero®, and Radiesse®). During that time, she also received additional certification in the utilization of lasers for hair removal and skin rejuvenation. Since then she has become certified in the administration of sclerotherapy and has undergone extensive training for the advanced placement of dermal fillers. Trained in 2010 by Dr. David Tittle and again in 2011 by Dr. Danny Vleggaar of Geneva Switzerland, Melanie is also an experienced injector of Sculptra Aesthetic® collagen stimulator. As a result of her extensive training, Melanie has acheived the most advanced level of credentials available. Most recently, Melanie has introduced Kybella injections to treat submental fullness. Melanie specializes in taking a conservative approach to anti-aging, focusing on improving the integrity of the skin and promoting natural results.
A native Houstonian, Melanie is also active in local Advanced Practice Nursing and women’s business organizations. She is an active member of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists. She regularly participates in national conferences and enjoys speaking about health-related topics to local organizations. Melanie is happily married with two sons and enjoys reading and playing sand volleyball during her downtime.
